About me
Hi, I’m Lily Chapman, a student scenic designer passionate about how story and people come together on stage. I enjoy collaborating with others and bringing ideas to life through research and hands-on work.
I plan to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Fall 2026, pursuing a degree in Production Design. My experiences in theatre have strengthened both my creative and technical skills, especially through working behind the scenes on musicals.
Outside of theatre, I volunteer with elementary and middle school students, teaching them about set design and art. I also serve as an usher at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and create content for local small businesses. These experiences have helped me grow as both an artist and a collaborator, and they continue to shape my perspective as a designer.
I approach each design by thinking about how a space can support the story and connect with an audience. I’m especially interested in creating environments that feel lived-in and meaningful, where the world of the play feels real and engaging.
Collaboration is a big part of how I work. I value bringing together different perspectives to build a shared vision, creating work that feels more genuine and connected.
